And This Was Englands Best Team!!!???
England lost again!! We all thought that England were doing better, how wrong we were. They played like sunday league players!!. Ronney looked like he was playing for the Germans at one point, and as for the rest of the team, the Germans walked all over England. Despite scoring one goal and being dissallowed another. Is it Fabio Capello's fault?? or did the team just not have the fight in them to win for England?. My personal opinion is that England need a younger team, they play all the old players time after time. Yes they play well for there own premier league, ...
Simon Shaw
England arrived in Perth on Tuesday to begin preparations for their five-match tour, which opens with a game against the Australia Barbarians on Tuesday, and two Tests against the Wallabies on June 12 and 19. A second midweek game is also scheduled against the Australia Barbarians on June 15, while the tour will finish with a trip to Napier to face the New Zealand Maori. The tour is England’s longest since the excursion to South Africa 10 years ago, and Shaw is confident the return to an old-school type of tour, incorporating midweek games, will act as a catalyst for ...
World Cup Football : Japan own goals
Another football match where England were not at their full potential. Having said that, Japan must be the first team ever to score for their own team once, but score twice for their apponents!!!. The England football team has not shown the country so far, that they have what it takes to go all the way in South Africa. We can only hope that things CAN only get better.
Theo Walcott Out???!!!
It was released that Fabio Capello has decided NOT to include Theo Walcott in the 2010 world cup team!!!...Is he mad, as far as I can see Theo is a very talented player and would of brought some great football skills to the world cup. The omission of Walcott came as a significant surprise. The Arsenal winger, who was included in England’s squad for Germany 2006 having failed to make a single appearance in the Premier League, started the recent victories over Mexico and Japan. Moreover, the 21-year-old memorably scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory in Croatia that put his ...
Guardado Is Ready For South Africa
Mexico's top player Andres Guardado is raring to go to South Africa and begin the world cup challenge. Since bursting on to the scene as a 19-year-old at Germany 2006, Andres Guardado has gone on to become one of the most recognisable faces of the Mexico team. A thorn in Argentina’s side during El Tri’s unfortunate Round-of-16 exit four years ago, the Mexican wide man has maintained his high standards, impressing over the last three seasons with Deportivo La Coruna and earning the full confidence of his national coach Javier Aguirre. Now aiming to impress the world again at South Africa 2010, ...
Did England Play Well Enough Against Mexico?
Watching the game on monday, I was left feeling that although England picked up there game in the second half, undoubtedly the first half was owned by Mexico. Goals from Ledley King, Peter Crouch and Glen Johnson lent the result a flattering scoreline after England laboured against opposition who seemed more adept at retaining possession than the hosts, particularly in the opening period. England looked vulnerable at the back in the first half with Robert Green twice making fine saves to deny Carlos Vela while Carlos Salcido struck the woodwork. Gerrard said: ‘’The manager wanted more aggression. They had too ...

Malouda, whose 15 goals in all competitions proved influential in Chelsea’s double success last season, was reportedly axed by Domenech following a row in training on Thursday. The midfielder, apparently unimpressed at plans for him to play a defensive role behind the Bordeaux playmaker Yoann Gourcuff, ended training with Domenech urging captain... Our thoughts are with you Nelson Mandela. The great Mandiba had so cruelly been unable to attend the launch of Africa’s historic happening in Johannesburg, the death in a car accident of his teenage great granddaughter providing the one truly awful jolt amid a day of wonderful uplift, but his presence seemed everywhere. It was there when, during... [Read more of this review]
Despite my doubts of Englands ability to preform well over America, England played better than I have seen them play so far even in the friendlies. England went into the lead after just 4 minutes of play with their captain Steven Gerrard scoring the goal, and what a goal it was. USA player Clint Dempsey scored the equalizer in the 40th minute, with... [Read more of this review]
THE WORLD CUP HAS FINALLY STARTED!!, and I have to say that I thought Mexico were the better team. Even the opening ceremony was a delight. Next up is the inaugural match, and that too promises to be fun. These look like two quite evenly matched teams, in the tournament’s most balanced group, from which any pair could progress. The Bafana Bafana... [Read more of this review]
It has emerged that the referee Carlos Eugênio Simon was suspended by his national federation amid accusations of bribery and incompetence. And his first game is for England and USA!!!
