Sri Lanka trashes Zimbabwe by 9 wickets

The Sri Lanka captain Dilshan said after winning the match that “The pacers bowled well but it was our spinners who bowled exceptionally.”

He said further, “I spoke to the coach about the target and we decided to go for the target. I have been struggling in the last few months so it is nice to have some decent knocks under my belt.”

The Zimbabwe captain Chigumbura said, “It is very disappointing that we could not bat out the full 26 overs. We still have a chance in Harare and we must play good cricket. Building an innings is the main area of concern.”

He said further, “We lost four wickets during the middle and we have to work that out. Defending a moderate total is always difficult on this kind of wicket.”

He said, “It is just a matter of bouncing back and I am quite confident that the guys can do that. Masakadza played very well and hope he carries on with the form.”
