England Against USA

Despite my doubts of Englands ability to preform well over America, England played better than I have seen them play so far even in the friendlies.

England went into the lead after just 4 minutes of play with their captain Steven Gerrard scoring the goal, and what a goal it was.
USA player Clint Dempsey scored the equalizer in the 40th minute, with a clumsy save from Green. The horror on his face as the gaol slipped through his fingers was all too clear to see, ending the game 1-1.

Man of the match for me was Heskey, he was not on top form, but he was amongst the top players of the game.

There was three substitutes for England and one for the USA, and the same amount of yellow cards :

Despite all that the referree was fair and played the game well.
